Counselling

Bridge Associates offer a complete counselling service adaptable to the needs of your organisations and clients. We recognise that a clients continued recovery from domestic abuse depends on a services ability to meet their individual’s needs fully and thoroughly. We offer an in depth assessment service to identify the client's needs. If counselling is indicated Bridge Associates can provide counselling support via a six session solution focused model, a twelve-session model or open-ended counselling.

Our counsellors are fully qualified, receive regular clinical supervision, have professional indemnity and are members of the British Association of Counselling and Psychology.

Counselling packages can be provided for adults, young people and children.

Counselling can be short-term solution focused or open-ended.

Bridge Associates offer a full and robust assessment service and work closely with referrers and to ensure appropriate support whilst maintaining client confidentiality. We also provide a comprehensive evaluation of outcomes report.

Supervision

Bridge Associates offer a supervision service adaptable to your organisations needs.

Bridge Associates recognise that workers in the field of domestic abuse are often faced with challenging and sometimes distressing situations. Clinical supervision provided by qualified and highly experienced practitioners is vital for client safety and supports the worker to work as effectively as possible with their clients.

In cases where there is domestic abuse it is particularly important for workers to take care of themselves emotionally. Supervision provides time and space in which to reflect on the immediate work with the client. The more in depth reflection provided by clinical supervision helps the supervisee to remain objective and stay open to learning new ways of working.

Clinical supervision differs from management supervision in that its prime purpose is to contemplate what happens in the work with clients. It will focus on the client, the worker, their relationship, the interventions used, the supervisor, the organisation, the wider systemic influences and the training needs of the worker.

Supervision can be provided for both groups and individuals.

Bridge Associates also offer consultancy and evaluation services for agencies and organisations working with domestic abuse issues.

Consultation Service

Bridge Associates recognise that there are times when it can be helpful for workers to talk through issues and find ways through problems. Bridge Associates offer consultations for workers. These can be one off appointments or a small series of meetings. If helpful, consultations can include a combination of workers from different agencies and can also include the client/s. Bridge Associates believe that workers can benefit from receiving specialist support and having a dedicated time and place within which to think about their clients and gain new perspectives.
